A common sleep deprivation is Insomnia, the inability to get to sleep or sleep well at night is the most common sleep complaint. Insomnia can be caused stress, jet lag, health condition, medications or even the amount of coffee you drink. Insomnia can also be caused by mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
In addition to insomnia, the most common sleep disorders are sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome (RLS), and narcolepsy.
Do sleeping pills help?
When taken for a brief period of time and under the supervision of your doctor, sleeping pills may help your sleep problems. However, they are just a temporary solution. Insomnia can't be cured with sleeping pills. In fact, sleeping pills can often make insomnia worse in the long run. Therefore, it's best to limit sleeping pills to situations where a person's health or safety is threatened.

Please look below to discover the various steps and processes involved.
So where do I go from here?
In order for us to give you a clear and precise plan we must first to diagnose your symptoms, this can be done after filling up the online - questioner (see at the bottom of the page) which will take just a few moments of your time, after sending this back to us (online) Tej will asses it and will follow it up by a call to you at your convenient time.
Tej will have some more questions to ask which will follow by his explanation about which program we feel is the right for you.
What to expect on arrival?
Depending on the clinic or spa you will booked in at, you will firstly be greeted either by the reception staff at the clinic or the nurse in charge for the day. You will kindly escorted to the waiting area where Tej or any of his specialists working on the day will be notified of your arrival.
In the room
Depending on the results of your initial questionnaire, Tej or one of his specialists will take you through a further detailed health assessment providing a detailed account of your overall wellbeing and how that relates to your sleep. Once this assessment is complete the remainder of the consultation will commence and you will be on your way to making sleepless nights a thing of the past.
Phase 1: Assessment
A detailed assessment will be sent to you or either conducted in person, the assessment will involved you giving Tej a detailed outline of the challenges you are facing with your sleep.
Once Tej has analyzed the assessment, you will move onto the diagnostic phase, which will consist of two possible scenarios:
Scenario 1: The Diagnostic Phase
Step 1: Explanation and EEG testing
The EEG testing measures activity from the brain's prefrontal cortex in a safe and comfortable way. Three pre-gelled medical electrodes measure the EEG signal from the left and right hemispheres simultaneously. From this region of the brain, changes in higher cognitive functions, for example activities involving planning, organizing, problem solving, selective attention, relaxation and stages in sleep cycles are measured.
The EEG testing enables Tej to gather real-time information from the Central Nervous System (CNS) as to its current activity ensuring that you are not placing too much unnecessary strain on yourself and are sleeping efficiently.
How does it work?
The technology records electrical signals (EEG) from the brain, it consists of a small Bluetooth amplifier and transmitter unit connected to a blue sensor band. The band is placed across the forehead, using medical electrodes providing non- invasive EEG detection.
It measures EEG from the brain's prefrontal cortex; three pre-gelled medical electrodes measure the EEG signal from the left and right hemispheres simultaneously.
You remain wireless from the computer (sitting or lying down) while the software converts the signals electrical strength (microvolt's on y axis) and speed (hertz on x axis) into a graphical display plotting peaks and showing brainwave frequencies. It measures EEG in real time from your brain's left and right hemispheres, which facilitates interactive neuro feedback providing Tej with a map of your brainwave patterns.
The EEG testing takes thirty minutes in total and pending on the challenge at hand involves Tej testing you to get a clear idea on whether you are right brain or left brain dominant (and how this relates to your sleep). The readings of the EEG are very easy to read and will be explained to you in a way that is easy to understand can see the results first hand.
Scenario 2: The Diagnostic Phase
Step 2:The 24-hour sleep and stress test
The 24-hour heart rate variability sleep test is done within the comfort of your own bed and surroundings; it will involve you wearing a heart monitor for a period of 24 hours.
From this I will be able to assess the following:
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) measures the changing intervals between two heartbeats. HRV reduces with age and ill health, and is an accurate indicator for the short and long term impact of stress, the quality your of sleep, your biological age (vitality), the adaptability of the organism (risk of accidents) and your capacity to regenerate and recuperate from stress and strain.
The 24-hour test provides Tej with the following information:
- Quality of sleep: Stages of sleep, depth of sleep, ability to fall asleep, arousal during sleep, recovery through sleep.
- The impact of different activities on your organism (high performance states; recreational and exhausting activities).
-
Biological / chronological age, your true age. Width of frequency and intensity of the Heart Rate Variability - a powerful
predicting indicator for chronic disease. - Autonomic nervous system balance.
- Flexibility: Ability of the organism to adjust to challenging situations.
- Ability to recover: During day and night time, during work and free time.
This process involves you coming in for a fitting and explanation, you will wear the heart monitor for 24 hours and courier it back to us the following day. The results are then diagnosed over a 10-day period and then analyzed carefully with you in your personal sleep plan.
Phase 2: Treatment
Your Personal Sleep Plan
Upon completion of the diagnostic phase (scenario 1 or 2 pending on the challenge at hand), Tej puts together a bespoke personal plan outlining in detail the process that is recommended and required to ensure your outcomes are achieved.
Please find below a guideline of what the 4-step intervention entails:
The Deep Sleep programme
Through one-on-one consultations with Tej, you will be taught how to 'unlearn' what is preventing you from getting a deep, peaceful rest. It is important to note that in some cases the 4-step intervention is not needed, a significant amount of information is collected from the diagnostic phase, often Tej finds that after one or two consultations post the diagnostic phase significant improvements are made.
The Deep Sleep programme will focus on four key areas that have an impact on how well you sleep:
Phase 1: The mind and brain relationship Learning how to 'switch off' at night.
Phase 2: Caring for sleep Setting up a routine that is easy to stick too and works.
Phase 3: Body and sleep clock working with your body to bring back abalance.
Phase 4: The sleeping curve Knowing exactly what to do to maintain good sleep.
Each area is carefully addressed and worked with to identify and eliminate any imbalances; you will be left with your outcomes achieved and being able to sleep well.

If the patient has difficulty staying asleep, the following procedure is implemented:
CATEGORY 2 - DIFFICULTY STAYING ASLEEP (BROKEN SLEEP)
Consultation 1: A 24- hour sleep study will be conducted.
This is the second option where Tej can advise a patient whom has deeper sleeping difficulties, in this consultation the patient will need to come to the clinic to fit a small electronic device which will take measurements over the next 24 hrs and will be transmitted to Tej facility where he can read and analysis this properly.
