Since 1997, Dr. Roger AMAR's FAMI technique has provided rare longevity and predictability in rejuvenation procedures through the use of purified adult stem cells, injected into the core of a patient's muscle.

Standing for Fat Autograft Mucle Injection, the FAMI approach represents a dramatic departure from the classical concept of fat injection, which has been the common solution for facial rejuvenation efforts, offering little permanence or predictability.

In 2001 Dr Roger Amar extended his concepts to restoration of Bone surfaces, muscle and fat atrophy and created the new registered FAMI technique called Fresh Autologous Mesenchymal Integration.

Using his extensive knowledge of human anatomy and proprietary instruments specifically designed for the procedure, Dr. Amar has perfected the FAMI approach through the use of a patient's own Mesenchymal stem cells. Extracted from a patient and purified in a custom-designed centrifuge, these cells are then introduced back into the patient's body through a deep, cellular graft.

Providing an organic alternative to traditional means of adding needed volume, FAMI avoids synthetic fillers in favour of harnessing the healing power of the human body to add volume in a safe, effective and permanent manner.

FAMI is not a classical fat injection. Rather is uses adults stem cells from fat deposits to encourage organic growth in a safe and predictable way. It is a new, non-invasive alternative to traditional face-lift surgery.

After a frustrating decade spent performing traditional fat injections, Dr. Amar followed his intuition and decided to begin increasing the use of pre-adiposities; better known as adult stem cells. These cells proved effective in encouraging natural growth and restoring bone surfaces and facial muscles.

The FAMI technique is also based on a deep understanding of the facial anatomy. While the procedure is reasonably simple from the patient's perspective, it can often prove complicated for a surgeon, as it requires a working knowledge of the complexities of facial structure, available only through hands-on training with naturally preserved models. For this reason, a qualified FAMI surgeon must have proven experience and training alongside Dr. Roger Amar, as well as a deep familiarity with the doctor's custom-designed FAMI instruments. Without this experience, a surgeon cannot be trusted to complete a successful FAMI procedure.
