Botox (wrinkle softening) works by
Botox is injected using a disposable syringe with a very fine needle. A very small amount of the Botox powder is diluted with saline and injected very precisely into several locations on the face. The pain associated with the injections is minimal. Many patients describe it as a bug bite sting for only a couple seconds. No local anaesthetic is needed and you can resume normal activities immediately. Treatment takes around 15 minutes, depending on the number of areas you wish to treat.
Once you have been treated it usually takes two to five days before the wrinkle treatment actually takes effect and sometimes even a little longer to notice the full effect.
The common injected areas are:
- On the forehead where there are horizontal crease lines
- On the crows feet around the eyes that arise from smiling or squinting
- On the vertical frown lines in between the eyebrows
- On the bunny lines of the nose Bunny lines on the nose

The wrinkle treatment procedure
Consultation - the main body of the consultation is involved with the discussion of your expectations and goals, as well as an explanation of the procedure and the proposed effects of the treatment. The injection treatment itself takes only 15 minutes, depending on the number of areas you wish to treat.
The treatment - Botox (or other wrinkle softening materail) powder is diluted with saline and small quantities are injected very precisely into several locations on the face using a disposable syringe with a very fine needle. The pain associated with the injections is minimal and rarely cause any bruising. Many patients feel a stinginess sensation, others feel nothing at all. No local anaesthetic is required. (However this may be provided for patients who are extremely sensitive, please speak to the clinic staff or the doctor).
It then usually takes two to five days before the Botox takes effect and for notable muscle weakening to take place. The effect on the dynamic lines is most noticeable at 2-3 weeks. During this time, you may experience some tingling or twitching in the affected muscles. Although you may feel this strongly, it is not usually noticeable and settles down rather fast.
The muscle weakening effect of the BOTOX injection only lasts 4-6 months as the nerve endings grow back to supply the muscles. However, the effect on the lines on the face can last 6 months or longer..which then will be the time to come back and have it done again.
There is NO such a thing as Anti wrinkle cream, and there is NONE such a cream that can give a person similar results!
The after care
- Avoid lying down for approx 4hrs.
- Avoid sports activity on the same day.
- Avoid sauna on the same day.
- Avoid any facial treatment for the next 48 hrs.
Follow up
Follow up appointment for Anti wrinkle treatments take/can take place after ten days to three weeks, and designed to exam patient and if necessary to adjust the treatment.
It is important to understand that in case of new patient, we do not have any chart or tracks record of this individual, which means that the practitioner will aim upon his professional knowledge to achieve best natural results, never the less sometime after the period of ten days a patient might not achieve those results as explained above, which he then will set a follow up appointment to adjust.
This is complimentary service, which strictly kept for three weeks after the treatment.
