About Derma Roller
Derma Roller

What is Derma Roller? (Microneedle)
Dermaroller review
Dermaroller is a barrel-like roller with more then 200 very fine needles to injure the skin sufficiently enough to stimulate collagen production. Resulting micro-channels also aid in infusing therapeutic serums for greater penetration and increasing overall efficacy.
Clinical studies from Europe,U.S. and South Korea have proven that serum absorption is increased by as much as 1,000 times when applied with Derma Roller. Clinical studies have also shown that treatment with Derma Roller is more consistent in increasing the thickness of the skin than IPL and other resurfacing treatments.
Why Derma Rollers (Microneedle therapy)?
Clinical studies have shown (microneedle therapy system) to be more effective than ablative treatments like laser resurfacing, and chemical peel and just as effective as non-ablative treatments like IPL, CO2 laser, and Fraxel in stimulating collagen and elastin production to thicken the skin, thereby erasing wrinkles and smoothing scars.
- DermaRollers are revolutionary. They do the same job that lasers and other ablative methods by increasing the production of collagen with minimal damage to the protective layer of the skin.
- Derma Rollers are effective. In fact, just as effective as lasers, IPL, Thermage and other 'machine-based' treatments, but at a fraction of the cost to practitioners and patients.
- Derma Rollers are safe. "Non-surgical and non-ablative" means more 'forgiving' and skin-friendly treatments. Patients experience little or no pain, downtime, and risk for complications.
The Micro Needle Roller is used and benefited for:
- Scar Treatment reduction which includes the reduction of acne scars and acne marks (skin resurfacing)
- Acne scar treatment
- Stretch Marks (stretch mark removal)
- Anti Ageing
- Anti Wrinkles and wrinkle softening treatment
- Hair Loss Treatment / Hair Regrowth
- Hyper Pigmentation Treatment
- Cellulite treatments
How Skin Needling and Dermarollers Work?
Although there are no outward signs of damage, one single micro needle causes a tiny wound in the skin. You cannot see it or feel it as the damage is on a minute scale. Despite the minuscule nature of the wound, the body still acts to heal itself in its own natural way.
The post traumatic response of the skin is to produce collagen and elastin - two of the key building blocks of skin. As there has been no removal or "real" damage to existing collagen, the new formations of it simply add to existing levels.
Imagine now that on a typical roller, there are 200 needles. If - when using the Dermaroller- the skin is rolled six times (back and forth in three directions), this is over a thousand needle entries, all of which will act to stimulate new collagen fibres. It is not difficult to see that over time, this will act to massively increase the thickness, suppleness and general condition of the skin in these areas.
Other Microneedling Benefits
In addition to stimulating collagen growth, micro needling also create channels through which any substance applied to the skins surface (know as topical application) can be absorbed far more easily. It is, after all, the skins job to keep things out and piercing this shield works well in breaking down that barrier for a limited time.
What this means is any topical application used actually reaches the areas it is intended for. Studies suggest that using a dermaroller in this way can boost the effectiveness of topical treatment by several hundred percent.
